My Journey to Become a Better Learner and a Better Reader

Hello guys! I am back! How are you? Hope you are all healthy and safe. Well… it will be a little bit special for today’s post. Today I’m not going to post about story like usual, but I will write my reading and listening journey during this semester join Integrated Communicative Course. Let’s start!

In the beginning of this semester, I think it will give me a little trouble especially in listening. I admit that I’m not very good at listening, but I don’t expect if I will enjoy it more than before. And for reading, I really like it because reading is my hobby. Because I rarely reading story in English before—I reading book or story in English just for my English class in high school—so reading in English make me nervous and there are a lot of worries in my head. When I read some story in er-central, I think I should not have to worry that much because I can understand it easily and start to change my level to the higher level. And from this course too I knew about er-central and English e-Reader, where I usually read. You can click here for er-central and here for English e-Reader if you interested to visit it.

But near the end of this semester, I enjoy reading and listening in English more because I’m used to it now—I read a lot in Indonesian before join this course and I’m not confident to read in English. At first, I planned to read 2 story for one day, one for reading and one for listening because we have target to pass. But sometimes I read 5 or if I have more time, I can read 10 story—I hope I can maintain this habit. Unfortunately, I haven’t been reading much lately because I have a lot of assignments and projects that need to be done because this semester is almost over. I promise myself to read more after finish all the assignments and project.

And after this course, I think I will continue to read graded readers and other fiction books. As I said above, I like to reading, on the other hand, reading and listening in English can add my vocabulary and improve my listening skill. I hope I can continue to write in this blog too though not as often as this semester.

Okay, that’s all for today, hope you enjoy my blog and see you again, bye~
