Let Me Write a Poem About You
Hello there! Back again with me in parallel- blog! Just like the title for today's blog, this post will be about poems. I will write an acrostic poem from one character each from one story I have read. There will be two stories, on for reading text and one for listening text. Ready... let's go!
The
first story is reading text and the title is The Children of the New
Forest by Captain Marryat with 6403 words. This is an
adventure story about four children of Colonel Beverley—he is died while
fighting for the King. They should leave their house to run away from the
Cromwell’s soldiers who want to kill those on the King’s side like their father
and live with Jacob, their father’s old friend. You can read this story here.

My favourite character
from this story is Jacob Armitage. Why? Well… I think he is really brave and
kind. He dares to take risk to save his old friend's children, and it is not
just one or two but four! He even taught them to cook, clean the house, take
care of the farm and hunt.
Now
is the time for poem, and I will make it from Jacob's last name, Armitage.
Altruistic
Reliable
Modest
Intrepid
Thoughtful
Angelic
Gentle
Experience
The
second story is listening text and the title is The Golden Stone Saga
I by Jenny Dooley with 7894 words. The story is
about William Goldstone, a child who always spends his free time playing video
games and watching videos. His parents sent him to his grandfather for a week,
hoped that William would stop spending so much time with the TV and get
interested in something new. If you interested to listen or read this story,
you can click here.

From this story I pick
Will Goldstone, the main character from the story Howard read to his grandson,
William. Will is a brave and a strong orphan boy. His parents were killed by
King Ddraig when he was child, as well as the girl he loved, Delena. He wants
to revenge for that, but Kylan the wizard who helped and taught him tell to
wait the right time or he will lose. I will use Will's last name to make the
poem, here it is.
Gifted
Obedient
Lusty
Determined
Smart
Tough
Optimistic
Nimble
Easy-going
How
is the poem? I think it is not too good, because for me it is quite difficult
to find the right words, besides that, making poem is fun and increase my
vocabulary. Okay... well I think that’s all for today, hope you enjoy reading
my blog! See you on my next post! Bye~
